Our goal
YourQuickTools should be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen readers, or high-contrast and zoomed displays. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every form field and dropdown has a name that screen readers announce.
- Key results, such as calculated ages, dates and generated passwords, are announced when they change.
- Buttons, option toggles and FAQ questions can be reached with the Tab key and used with Enter or Space, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and link colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Pages use a consistent structure with headings, navigation and a main content area.
Known limitations
The site has been checked with automated accessibility testing tools, but it has not been formally audited by an accessibility specialist, so some issues may remain. In particular:
- Some tools update their results as you type. To avoid constant interruptions, these results are not announced automatically; you can move to them with your screen reader to read the current value.
- Colour-specific tools (the colour converter and palette generator) display colour swatches whose meaning is partly visual. Hex, RGB and HSL values are always shown as text.
- Advertising and analytics are provided by Google, and we do not control the accessibility of third-party ad content.
